AS Saint-Étienne will be coached by Scottish coach Ian Cathro, who will replace Philippe Montanier. Cathro has been the coach of Estoril with good results. He was the assistant of Nuno Espirito Santo at Valencia, Hull City and Wolverhampton. Cathro was named best coach of the month in February 2025. He is 39 years old and has been at Estoril since 2024.
